LENGUA PORTUGUESA:

Durante el presente año académico tiene lugar la celebración del “800º Aniversario de la Lengua Portuguesa”. Con tal motivo la Universidad de León y la Fgulem en colaboración con el Consulado de Portugal y la Asociación de Amigos de Portugal, organizarán una serie de actividades con ocasión de esta efeméride. El próximo día 22 de octubre inauguraremos las actividades con una conferencia que impartirá D. José Luis Gavilanes Laso, que lleva por título “Nacimiento y formación de la lengua portuguesa”. Tendrá lugar a las 19’30 h. en el paraninfo de la antigua Escuela de Comercio, actual Centro de Idiomas de la Universidad de León sito en el Jardín de San Francisco.

The University of Algarve, in partnership with Center for European and Lusophone Literatures (CLEPUL) and Research Center for Arts and Communication (CIAC), invite you to the International Conference Peregrinação by Fernão Mendes Pinto and the perpetuity of Travel Writing will take place at the University of Algarve (Gambelas Campus) on 9th and 10th October 2014.   To celebrate the 400th anniversary upon the publication of Peregrinação by Fernão Mendes Pinto (1614-2014) we will revisit this unique piece of Portuguese culture and literature and also broaden the immense and heteroclite body of work dedicated to the perpetual and global genre of travel writing.  The abstracts should be submitted to coloquioperegrinacao@gmail.com, until 31st May 2014.
