Dear Partners,

It is very common for Brazilian undergraduate students to do an internship during the course of their studies.
Because of that, PUCRS is offering internship opportunities for our international students in companies established in its Science and Technology Park TECNOPUC or in partner companies in town.

The opportunities are open for students coming solely for the internships (for a minimum of 4 months) or foran academic exchange program (from 6 months to one academic year) and an international internship, at the same time.

How to apply?

Right now, we have two postings:

Programs: International Relations of Foreign Trade
Completion requirements: No specific requirements
Duration of internship: up to 6 months (a minimum of 4 months)
Languages: English (advanced or fluent) / Portuguese (intermediate)
Countries of interest: English-speaking, European or Asian Countries
Specific abilities: No specific abilities
Main attributions: research, design of news/bulletins, keeping contact with foreign clients, etc.
Working hours: 5 hours per day
Stipend: R$ 900/month + transport
Working site: Avenida Plinio Brasil Milano, 757 – 13º andar, Higienópolis, Porto Alegre

Posting available only for students on a one-semester or one-year academic exchange program at PUCRS
Programs: IT, Advertising or Design

Specific terms
·         Students will be enrolled in a teaching/bachelor's degree in a Higher Education Institution. Attention: Master's degree students or students who have finished their teaching/bachelor's degree are not eligible for these internship opportunities.
·     The student's personal information presented in the form should be as accurate as possible.
·     Duration of the internship and working hours will be defined in agreement between the student and the company. The maximum working hours for internships are 6 hours per day.
·     Every intern will receive a stipend (academic aid) of approximately USD 235 per month.

Oferta de Prácticas en el Centro de Documentación Europeo de la Universidad de Macerata

Desde la Universidad de Macerata, en Italia, nos llega esta oferta de prácticas:

"Dear Partner Universities,

we are looking for trainees (one at a time) for year 2017 to work at the European Documentation Centre (EDC) of the University of Macerata (Italy). Please consider that the University is closed during Christmas holidays and partially in August.

The trainees should possibly have the following skills:
- some knowledge of the EU institutions
- advanced knowledge of the English language (level C1)
- intermediate knowledge of the Italian language (level B1)
- abilities to use Microsoft Office Programmes
- abilities to surf the net and find relevant information
- abilities to use social medias
- willingness to work in a team.

After the necessary training, the trainees will be asked to perform the following tasks:
- follow the news published by the European Commission and the Council of the European Union
- add the news sources from those institutions to the Electronic sources of the EDC website
- review the Think tank EU website and write small reports
- take part in the organisation of events
- translate and update guides on the European Union
- contact local bodies and schools to involve in EDC activities

¿quieres ser un colaborador internacional en la ULE en el curso 16/17? Viernes fin de plazo

¿quieres ser un colaborador internacional en la ULE en el curso 16/17?

¿Quieres  formar parte del equipo más internacional de la ULE? ¿Quieres colaborar con la oficina de Relaciones Internacionales y con los coordinadores internacionales?

 

La experiencia merece la pena

 


 

Este viernes acaba el plazo para solicitar la estancia de colaboración para la asistencia a la gestión de movilidad internacional.

 

Esta colaboración supone sumergirse en un ambiente internacional sin salir de la ULE.

 

Se valorará positivamente haber realizado alguna movilidad internacional/nacional, participación en el programa padrino con informe positivo, así como acreditar capacidad de liderazgo y animación de grupos (monitor/coordinador de ocio y tiempo libre, entrenador deportivo, miembro de ONGs/Asociaciones, etc). También se tendrá en cuenta haber colaborado con la Oficina de Relaciones Internacionales en convocatorias anteriores.

 

Adjunto podrás encontrar la convocatoria y la solicitud correspondiente, así como en el siguiente enlace la convocatoria y la solicitud. 



Las instancias (anexo 1) se presentarán en la Unidad de Información y Registro de la ULE, en León situada en el edificio de Rectorado, Avenida de la Facultad nº 25, o en el Registro del Campus, Edificio de Gestión Académica; en el caso de Ponferrada, en la Unidad Administrativa.

 

 Es igualmente válido presentarlo por cualquiera de los procedimientos previstos en el art. 38.4 de la Ley 30/92 de 26 de noviembre, de Régimen Jurídico de las Administraciones Públicas y Procedimiento Administrativo Común, en la redacción dada por la Ley 4/1999, de 13 de enero.
 
 

En el caso de no estar en León debido a que estés disfrutando de una movilidad, se acepta la solicitud por correo electrónico enviada en tiempo y forma a  "internacional@unileon.es"

Short description of the
External Relations Department
The External Relations Department and International Cooperation Offices’ purpose is to maintain and enhance a high-quality central support service for the faculty’s international students during their time at the University.
Main responsibilities and tasks
The team is responsible for undertaking international student policy work, providing orientation events for new international students, managing the faculty’s student exchange schemes with European higher education institutions, ensuring compliance with Portuguese immigration legislation and fulfilling the terms of our sponsor license, and helping students with visa and immigration advice.


Candidate profile
Essential knowledge, skills and experience required
Education & qualifications
- Must be a current student enrolled on a Bachelor or Masters level degree in the fields of Languages, International Relations, European Studies or similar
- Must have good knowledge of the Portuguese Language (spoken and written) i.e. language level B1 or higher
Specialist knowledge & skills
- Good knowledge of the English Language (spoken and written).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, e.g.: Outlook, Publisher, Excel, Word and Power Point
- A working knowledge of EU-funded mobility programs would be useful
Interpersonal & communication skills
- Must be diplomatic in problematic situations
- Must show intercultural awareness
- Must be able to deal with people at all levels
- Ability to research information and produce concise reports on findings
Additional requirements
- Must be able to work to a high level of accuracy, and follow set procedures

Duties of position
Working primarily with the International Students Officer, you will undertake the following main responsibilities
Administrative Support
- Answering routine enquiries from students, academics and senior management by email and in person
- Administrative support for members of the team
- Deal with incoming and outgoing post
- Photocopying and scanning of documents
- Ensuring filing systems are up to date
Student Exchanges
- Ensuring all required paperwork for outgoing and incoming students is complete
- Maintaining accurate records for incoming and outgoing exchange students
- Assisting with the organization of orientation sessions for students participating in an exchange (incoming and outgoing)
- Assisting with the arrangements for any visits from partner universities
Research
- Undertaking research into the service provided by comparable institutions to their international students
- Undertaking research into the information provided to international students pre- and post-arrival and the method used
- Supporting the conduction of any student surveys
