Anticipated Recruitment Needs in Peace Operations in 2011

The UN Department of Field Support will shortly be seeking three (3)
candidates who are willing and available to work in an advisory capacity,
for a future anticipated UN mission in South Sudan.   The advisory roles
will be for an initial period of 11 months approximately, with a likely
subsequent extension up to a total of 18 months.  Successful candidates must
be ready to deploy to South Sudan in July 2011.  Vacancy announcements are
being broadcasted shortly.

The three positions are expected to provide expert advice to the SRSG
(Special Representative of the Secretary General)  of the anticipated future
mission.

Ideally, any candidate who is interested must be available in July and have
prior experience in a post-conflict/independence state building environment.
Any interested candidate or nominated candidate would be asked to send a CV
to the following address:  *outreachforpeace@un.org*
