Hardiman Research Scholarship - National University of Ireland, Galway

The National University of Ireland would like to announce the Hardiman Research Scholarships at NUI Galway, Ireland for potential PhD students.

There are 30 scholarships available to support world-class basic research in the Humanities and Social Sciences, including Law and Business Studies (Stream A) and in the broad areas of Science, Medicine, Engineering and Informatics (Stream B).  Its primary strategic aim is to attract the best students to NUI Galway and to support their development as innovative individuals who will contribute globally to economic, cultural and social development.  Scholarships will be awarded only to those who will engage full-time in research during the period of the award in NUI Galway and the value of the Hardiman Research Scholarship is a stipend of €16,000 plus fees.  Further information is available at  <http://www.nuigalway.ie/hardiman-scholarships>; www.nuigalway.ie/hardiman-scholarships.  The closing date for applications is June, 19, 2011 at 5 pm (GMT).
