Work placement in Italy for English native speaker

The University Language Centre of the University of Macerata (Italy) is recruiting university students who are native speakers of English within the Erasmus Placement scheme in the academic year 2012/2013 to provide support in the following areas: teaching activities, language certification, language consultancy, editing, proof-reading and administration duties of the Centre. Support to teaching activities, language certification, language consultancy, editing and proof-reading of the University Language Centre, in collaboration with the teaching and administrative staff of the Centre, under the supervision of the Director. Support for translation from Italian into English, writing and revision of institutional and administrative texts in English (certificates, statements, etc.) and for the preparation of contents in English for institutional websites and related online services.	Preferably one among (in order of preference): language teaching, Italian studies, translation and interpreting, linguistics, languages, modern foreign literatures, communication studies.	The candidate must be a native speaker of English. In addition, the knowledge of Italian at pre-intermediate level is desirable; the knowledge of one more language among Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish and German is an added bonus.	At least three months, starting from March 2013.	Knowledge in language teaching and certification, especially of English. Proficiency in the use of word processing software and familiarity with environments for web development and the creation of online contents, including teaching and learning resources. Ability to work both independently and as part of teams consisting of members with different backgrounds and skills, and to operate under time pressure, meeting tight deadlines.
