The University of Algarve, in partnership with Center for European and Lusophone Literatures (CLEPUL) and Research Center for Arts and Communication (CIAC), invite you to the International Conference Peregrinação by Fernão Mendes Pinto and the perpetuity of Travel Writing will take place at the University of Algarve (Gambelas Campus) on 9th and 10th October 2014. To celebrate the 400th anniversary upon the publication of Peregrinação by Fernão Mendes Pinto (1614-2014) we will revisit this unique piece of Portuguese culture and literature and also broaden the immense and heteroclite body of work dedicated to the perpetual and global genre of travel writing.
